Clients in Crisis
Please understand that as solo, outpatient practitioners we are unable to provide 24-hour crisis services. In the event of a medical/psychiatric emergency or an emergency involving a threat to your safety or the safety of others, please call 911 to request emergency assistance or go to the nearest emergency room. Whenever possible, please have yourself or someone else communicate to your therapist the nature of the emergency and any follow-up care we may need to be advised of. For clients in the Worcester area, the psychiatric emergency center is at UMass Medical Center, and the number is 508-856-3562. Local police departments may be called for transportation in an emergency situation. You can also contact the Emergency Services Mobile Crisis Team to conduct an in-person safety and psychiatric evaluation at a location of your choosing by calling 1-800-977-5555.
