Jesse L. Verhoeven, M.A., Master’s Level Clinician
Living with intrusive thoughts, urges, images, or other related mental health stressors each day can feel exhausting and debilitating.
I take a nurturing, holistic, problem-solving approach using my training in CBT, alongside ACT and ERP, to address OCD, anxiety, and depressive disorders in treatment. I am someone who strongly believes in holistic wellness and self-care, so you can always find me practicing it myself, alongside advocating it for others.
I graduated with my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Northeastern University and completed my clinical internship as a therapist at Beth Israel – a Harvard-affiliated teaching hospital, where I used CBT and mindfulness skills to treat anxiety and depressive disorders. At Northeastern, I invested time working on a social media-based project in relation to eating disorder interventions, and previously volunteered at a crisis suicide hotline during my undergraduate studies at Skidmore College. I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings and enjoy working with all ages from little kids to teens to adults.

Interests and hobbies:
As someone who grew up in Southeast Asia, I value working with a diverse range of clients and always want to learn more about how your unique culture and experiences have impacted and shaped your life! Outside of the therapy room, I love to cook new recipes with friends, practice yoga, go on hikes, and explore new cultures through travel.
